This last year I was been so let down by people telling me they want chicks and then changing their minds. So for the 2026 season I am starting to ask for a deposit, this will secure your chicks. Chicks will not be hatched to order without a deposit. I am sorry it has come to this.

This is for deposits on chicks available in 2026. the cost is £50 per chick, with the balance of £100 per chick to pay on collection.

The incubator is going on in early January for one batch only. 

You can let me know which sexes you would like, but obviously I can't control nature and will do my best to get the sexes you would like. Orders for chicks will go out in the order they came in. I can often swap chicks with friends or get any sexes needed for you if you require it.

If for any reason I cannot provide the chicks to you your deposit will be refunded.

Chicks will be DNA sexed via their egg membranes. 

Please note: This year, due to work commitments, chicks will need to be collected shortly after hatch, around a week old, so I won't be able to hold on to them until the sexing results are back in. I will send the membranes off for you to find out the sexes of your chicks. This has it's benefits as some people like them early for imprinting and bonding. But please note this, as it means you wont be able to request certain sexes from me.

I will not sell lone chicks as it is not fair on the emu, emu require company of their own kind.  

Your chicks will need to be collected from DT8 in West Dorset. I may be able to deliver locally for fuel, please drop me a line to check before ordering.
