RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY

SHIPPING POLICY

Eggs will be shipped out as soon as the eggs are gathered from proven parents, please let us know of any days that you are not around to accept delivery. Hatching eggs will be sent with 24 hour delivery and packed in sturdy boxes with bubble wrap and paper padding, spaced apart so they can't knock together in transporting.

Emu chicks and adults will not be shipped via postal companies. However, I use an excellent animal transport company, Dorset Smallholding, the costs of that would be up to you. You can either call them yourself or I can arrange it for you. You can also use your own transport and collect. Adult emu will need a livestock trailer with non-slip flooring such as horse mats or a deep layer of hay or straw, the trailer will also need to close completely at the back door and not have a gap at the top of the door. More information about Transporting emu here https://www.emu.services/transporting-handling-loading-emu.html

Emu chicks will need a box with carpet in the bottom, towels and fabric don't make good flooring as it can slip and injure the chicks legs. I will not let emu go without a non-slip floor.

RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY

In the event that eggs are broken in the post a replacement will be sent out when we have received a photograph of your damaged egg/s. Livestock can't be returned if you change your mind. We may not always be able to take emu back, if we can we will, if we can't we shall help you find a new home for your emu. Livestock doesn't want to be loading and travelling a lot, so to keep this to a minimum we will ask new and old emu keepers about their set-ups to see if our emu will fit in and be suitable for any that you might already have and that you have the correct living conditions for the emu when they get there.
